What is NAIS and how will it
effect you?

Riding Steers have become a
big part of my life. I favor them over my horses and to me, they are a
wonderful way to spend any afternoon. Over the years I have taught them
tricks, pulled my buggy with them and of course spent many carefree days
riding the trail with out fear of my horse spooking at pheasant or a deer.
Steers simply have a different personality and aren't prone to that sort of
thing.
I now have one cow, one heifer
and 2 riding steers. I just bought the cow, and the heifer. They are in
training. I also share one cow with a man who lives in another state and split
the calving seasons with him. His calves will be for sale on this website.
I have created a special feed
that all my calves start out on and adjust it to growth and use as they
mature, and needs change. I did this to assure that they would grow properly
for years of hard riding with strong joints, bone and many years of healthy
service. This along with good genetics should assure all my steers a long and
healthy lifetime.

Freedom is a Steer that was
born here. He is my favorite riding steer. He has been on Discovery Channel, and
many times on the news. He isn't as fancy as some Texas Longhorn Steers, but he
is just as smart. The way I judge a riding steer is not what they look like. When Im
riding my steer all I see is the back of his ears. Now if Im on the ground
looking up at him it does help that it was a big pretty steer that ended me up
there. All the same, my favorite color is tame.
