What is NAIS and how will it effect you?

 If you are looking for that special custom made item you may have come to the right place.

First, let me help you understand the craft and a few terms I use.

Custom. This doesn't mean I have the item in stock and made it.. that is hand made. Custom refers to items that I have made specifically for one individual to meet their needs and standards.

Tooling. Many times people refer to stamping as tooling. This is not so. hammering a pre-made stamp into leather us just that.. stamping. Tooling leather requires actually creating a pattern, cutting it, then tooling or sculpting it to appear 3-D.

Every piece I make is hand tooled with the finest Herman Oak leather. I have nothing in stock. What I have in stock is a side of Herman Oak leather. What it grows up to me, is up to you and your imagination.

People write me and ask where they can buy leather patterns or leather tooling patterns. The items you see were not made from patterns, they were primarily freehand drawings onto the leather. If I draw the leather pattern onto a piece of paper first, I will always send it with the item so that the owner can be assured it will never be re-created.

The below tracking harness is made from both leather stamping and leather tooling. The upper piece, or hip piece, is completely stamped. The chest piece has hand tooled oak leaves. Garnet stones are set in the "G"

 Dog tracking harness.

This harness is made with Herman Oak leather, hand tooled, real sheep's wool with a non-synthetic back ( that means the leather is on the wool) and yes, a real garnet birthstone in the "G" Hardware is solid brass and the whole thing is guaranteed for a lifetime. ( not the life of the dog, but the life of the maker. As long as Im alive I will stand by my work) This harness came with a matching oak leaf collar.

 Freehand drawn, hand tooled leather cougar and ivy Posture collar. .25 diamond chips are set in both eyes.

 I wish I would have taken photos of all the gloves I have done. These are not my best. The worn gloves are the gloves used on the Freedom Ride. Both are deer skin.
