One Sky Ranch was purchased in 1991. Wow was it really that long ago? I named it One Sky Ranch, because there is one sky above us all. Something people to many times forget. Im not going to list everything I have done here on the ranch like some sort of resume.

I will tell you that my horses, like my cattle are only as good as my word. Just like yours.

I have raised 2 sons. Learned saddle making, and rode my first Longhorn, right here on the ranch. Time has seen allot of changes here. The ranch is going though some major changes now. I'm re-vamping the house from top to bottom as well as many of the out side features. When I'm all done it is my plan to no longer give clinics, but invite those who wish to learn with their animals here to my home. I will have a spare room, and a place for large or small animals to stay while visiting our home. The old stallion area is being converted into a kennel that will be more home like than the average kennel.  It will sleep 4-6 dogs. It is not intended for long term housing. The dogs will spend their day working or playing, then return to their beds at night. This night time bed room will be larger than the average dog run, with heated concrete, and insolated in door houses and soft fluffy beds.

The Large animal pen is a large 2 stall building with ample room for over 3 horses. However we suggest that 2 horses or one steer be the limit.

I hope to open my home to the public soon.

Where do all the Poodles come from?

When I was little I loved dogs, but I was allergic and my parents, after getting me a puppy just couldn't take me being so sick. After 2 weeks the puppy was given to my cousins. I would visit a dog that lived on our block every day after school and always loved dogs. When I was in 7th grade I brought home an Airedale cross that had been dumped at the stable I boarded my horse at. Her name was Faith. I kept her until my oldest son was in 4th grade. She died of old age. The boys had a Jap. Chin for 14yrs. I trained with the K-9 Korps in KS ( AF) and did some other dog training things over the years. The horses always took top shelf so I trained on the side. Then the year before my last son was to leave home I decided to buy children that would never leave home. I bought Poodles.  Its a love affair that will never end. They are smart, don't shed and travel well. I adore them more than my horses. There is nothing bad and everything good about a well bred Poodle. There is nothing they can't do and won't think up if given a chance. That's where the Poodles came into my life. I look at them just like I do my other animals. A good long life starts with good breeding, good nutrition and ends with lots of love, and training. I look forward to adding their accomplishments to this sight.
